Åsa had her first job at Hill + Knowlton Strategies as early as 2004. In January 2006, the political party moderaterna hired her to their parliamentary office so that she could lead the work on the Alliance’s sprint campaign “the 100-hour campaign” – it continued for eight years. When the Alliance won the election, Åsa was offered a job in the Government Offices in the Prime Minister’s Office. Åsa was a political expert in various roles from the Prime Minister’s first day, to his last with the 2014 election loss.
Today, Åsa is Account Director and acting CEO of Hill+Knowlton Strategies in Sweden. She is a communications consultant primarily in corporate communications and public affairs with a passion for strategic and tactical communications work. Åsa is close to the overall perspective on corporate reputation and she works with her mind on the image and perception of the company or organization in the change work that customers want to do.
Åsa is a regular moderator and she often arranges workshops and similar gatherings.

Carsten Carlsson has been working at Hill+Knowlton Strategies in Stockholm since 2014. Carsten’s focus is to support clients within business-to-business and business-to-consumer. Carsten Carlsson has more than 20 years’ experience in Corporate Communications, Marketing PR, Crisis Management, Change Management, Issue Management, Public Affairs and Digital Strategy/Social Media.
Carsten has worked with, and within, some of the world’s leading companies and brands, including Procter & Gamble, Alere, GSK, Bayer Healthcare, General Mills, Google, Youtube, Kellogg’s, Telenor, 3, LG, Stanleybet and UFC. Additionally, he has also supported destinations such as Puerto Rico, Antalya, Riga to mention a few. His management experience includes Global Head of External Communication at DeLaval International, Managing Director Grayling Stockholm, Partner and CEO Firefly Communication Nordic, Head of Communication within the Telia Group in Sweden to mention some.
Carsten is a member of the Board of Directors at Misa, a company that offers work-oriented daycare activities for people with disabilities. Carsten got a bachelor’s degree in communication science.

Mikael joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies in Stockholm in 2020. He mainly supports clients on the corporate communication side.
Mikael has more than 20 years’ experience in Journalism, Corporate Communication, PR, Crisis Management, Change Management and Digital Communication. He has extensive experience from the energy sector and worked for both Vattenfall and E.ON where he held positions as Vice President Media Relations and Editorial and Head of Corporate Communication.
Before going over to the corporate side Mikael worked as a journalist, mainly for SVT, the Swedish public service TV.
Mikael has worked with clients such as Spotify, Huawei, Kry, TCS, Lendo and Skånemejerier/Lactalis.
Mikael holds a Master of Political Science and a bachelor degree in the German language. He has also studied Journalism and French.

Claes joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies Sweden in January 2019 and is our lead in Public Affairs and Crisis Communication. He comes from a position as Head of Press at MTR Nordic Group, a subsidiary of Hongkong based MTR that operates the Stockholm Metro and Commuter rail. Claes help clients with media relations, crisis management, corporate communication, public affairs – often targeted at society, infrastructure, education and industry. He has 10 years of experience within communications, partly in regulated markets in Sweden, for example public transportation and schools.
Claes is a long time activist and advocate in several NGOs on both local, national and international level. He has worked as a consultant in rhetoric and is an experienced moderator. Claes is currently a member of the City Council in Stockholm, and the board of Stockholm Business Region.
Claes has prior experience from a variety of positions from his own consultancy to CEO at Friskolornas Riksförbund (The Swedish association for independent schools), Head of press at Lärarförbundet (The Swedish Teachers’ Union) and MTR Nordic Group, Communications Consultant at JMW Communication, President of the Swedish National Union of Students and of Stockholm Pride, and board member of RFSL.
Claes have studied chemical engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and rhetoric, political science and gender studies at Södertörn University.
