Karen Porter

Karen oversees a wide range of our branding programs, bringing strategic thinking as well as commercial intelligence to projects.  She is a highly versatile client service director and enjoys establishing warm and trusting relationships with clients.

She has most recently worked on an inward investment program for Egypt, positioning the country as a destination for the IT sector; global repositioning, roll out and ongoing brand consultancy for SABIC through its acquisition strategy; a community engagement program for Tullow Oil in Ghana and brand development for one of Singapore’s sovereign wealth funds.

Karen joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies in 1996 as head of the Creative Services division.  In 2001 she set up the subsidiary company, The Studio.

Prior to The Studio, Karen was a consultant at Smithfield Design. During her time at Smithfield she managed corporate identity implementation for Securicor, The General Council of British Shipping and Tarmac as well as design and production of annual reports for a number of FTSE 100 companies.

As well as the managing director of The Studio, Karen keeps herself busy in her role as a board director of Hill+Knowlton Strategies. She is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
